Claude Code

Run Claude Code on a DigitSpace key or DevPass with any model, including auto, by setting two environment variables.

Claude Code speaks Anthropic's Messages API, which DigitSpace serves for every model. Point it at DigitSpace with environment variables.

ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL has no /v1; Claude Code adds the path. Put the settings in ~/.claude/settings.json to apply them to every session, or in a project's .claude/settings.json for one project. Newer Claude Code versions name the small model ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL; set it the same way.

Choosing models

  • auto lets DigitSpace pick a model for each request. Claude Code sends tools with nearly every request, so auto uses standard models or better.
  • Any model ID works, Claude or not: ANTHROPIC_MODEL=claude-sonnet-5-5, or gpt-6-luna. Non-Claude models get the request translated; see Anthropic Messages.
  • In a session, /model switches model.

Things to know

  • Claude Code's built-in web search is an Anthropic server tool. It's removed on credits and DevPass, and works only on your own Anthropic key.
  • A DevPass key works here unchanged. Watch its meters with GET /v1/key (see Limits and meters).
  • Claude Code's sessions, cost and requests appear on the dashboard's Agents page.
