Your provider keys, free
Three ways to pay, per project
| Project mode | Which key is used | What DigitSpace charges |
|---|---|---|
| Credits | DigitSpace's keys | 5% on credit top-ups; tokens at provider prices |
| Your own keys | Yours only | Nothing |
| Hybrid | Yours when you have one for that provider, ours otherwise | Nothing on your keys; credits for the rest |

In 1953 an operator put each call through by hand. DigitSpace routes every request.

Keys you can add
- Model labs
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek and others in the catalogue.
- Clouds
- Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock and Google Vertex, with their own regions and addresses.
- Any OpenAI-compatible API
- A custom endpoint and key, including self-hosted models. Its models appear as "custom/model".
How your keys are kept
Provider keys are encrypted before they're stored and are only decrypted inside the gateway to make the call. They're never shown again in full after you add them.
Questions
Why use DigitSpace at all with my own keys?
One API and key for every provider, failover between your keys and ours, budgets per key and member, and one place to see what every request cost.
Do I need a card to use my own keys?
No. Sign up, add a provider key and send requests.
Can my key's requests fail over to DigitSpace's keys?
In hybrid mode, yes: providers you have no key for use credits.
