# Playground

> Send one prompt to up to three models side by side and compare their answers, speed and cost before you choose one.

The **Playground** sends one prompt to up to three models at once, so you can compare their answers, speed and cost. It runs on the project's credits, and its requests appear in [Activity](/docs/dashboard/activity) like any other.

## Use it

1. Pick a model for each pane, or **Add model** for a third. The picker includes **Auto (project setting)**, **Auto · Economy** and **Auto · Best**, and filters for images, tools, reasoning and free models.
2. Optionally open **Settings** for a system prompt, temperature, the longest answer (256 to 16,384 tokens) and reasoning effort.
3. Type a prompt, and attach images if you like (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP up to 5 MB; sent only to models that read images).
4. Send. Each pane streams its answer and keeps its own history.

Under each answer: its cost, input, output and reasoning tokens, time to the first token, total time, tokens per second, and the provider and model that answered. **Stop** ends the answers; **Clear** starts over.

The playground uses a key DigitSpace manages for you, shown as **Managed** under API keys.
